For more than a century, our meetings have opened with an original program on Texas history. If you're a historian, author, descendant, or storyteller with twenty minutes worth hearing, we'd be honored to give you the floor — and a seat at our table.

A 20-minute program: Followed by time for questions.

Third Saturdays: October through May — we take January off.

The Artillery Club: Galveston, Texas.

A private audience: Meetings are by invitation — you'll speak to people who truly care.

Lunch is on us: Speakers are welcomed as our guest.

how to propose a program

Send us three things.

  1. Your topic: The program you’d like to present—a title and a sentence or two is plenty.

  2. A short biography: A few sentences about you and your connection to the subject.

  3. Your AV requirements: What you’ll need to present — a computer, a microphone, or nothing at all.
