Our chapter of the Children of the Republic of Texas is where boys and girls discover the pirates, soldiers, and pioneers in their own family tree — through field trips, hands-on projects, and a whole lot of fun. Parents and grandparents, this one's for them.

In one of our families, four living generations belong today — great-grandmother, grandmother, two sisters who are mothers — all belong to the DRT, and their three children are members of CRT. That's the whole point. The story doesn't stop. It gets handed down — and now there's a chapter for the youngest hands to carry it.

The Children of the Republic of Texas welcomes boys and girls, from little ones through age 21, who descend from an ancestor who lived in or served the Republic of Texas before 1846 — the same bloodline that qualifies the Daughters.
If you or a grandparent qualifies for the DRT, your children and grandchildren almost certainly do too. Not sure? We'll help you trace it.
Bring a friend - really.
Our kid’s chapter welcomes Associate Members: friends who don’t have a Republic of Texas ancestor but want in on the fun. Kids show up, dig in, and stick around when their best friend is right there beside them—so we save them a chair.
Membership in the Daughters of the Republic of Texas remains by bloodline only. The friends-welcome rule is just for the children's chapter.

Step 1 — Reach out: Tell us about your family and your kids — a name or a family story is plenty to start.
Step 2 — We trace the line, together: We confirm your family's Republic of Texas ancestor — we help with the paperwork.
Step 3 — Welcome to the chapter: Your child joins the Juana Navarro Alsbury Chapter — and the adventure begins.
